The exhibition was divided into three sections: the first one showed works carried out by Fiume between the 1940s and 1960s before the “revolution” in his style that came as a result of his stay in London during the mid 60s. The second section showed works executed during the following thirty years. The exhibition, entitled The Identities of Salvatore Fiume, was meant to illustrate some of the various “identities” taken on by Fiume over the more than fifty years of his career. The catalog was by Alan Jones and Elena Pontiggia. On October 23, 2012, 15 years after Fiume’s death, during that exhibition, the new Spazio Fiume was inaugurated on the first floor of Palazzo Lombardia where a collection of 13 works donated by Laura and Luciano has since been on permanent display.
